The sea of bouquets that countless people have left behind in London's parks over the past few days in memory of the late British Queen Elizabeth II is to be composted and later used for greening projects.
The flowers are to be collected starting next Monday, a week after the Queen's state funeral, the Royal Parks Administration said on Tuesday.
Flowers could still be laid down, but already wilted bouquets would be removed.
Abandoned teddy bears and other items would be stored first.
In the coming months, decisions should be made "with discretion and sensitivity" about what happens to them.
The Royal Parks include well-known green spaces such as Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park.
Especially in Green Park, mourners left a real sea of flowers for the Queen in a specially designed area.
