On the second day of our theme week, things will get hearty

For a whole two weeks, people celebrate, sway and drink together in Munich.

A true spectacle that everyone should experience at least once.

At Simply Tasty

we

bring the Oktoberfest to your home and provide you with delicious Bavarian recipe ideas every day, such as our Bavarian burger.

That's how it's done:

You only need a few ingredients:

  • Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 4 tbsp sweet mustard

  • 0.5 tsp pepper

  • Citizens:

  • 100 g onion, cut into rings

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

  • 12 Nuremberg grilled sausages

  • 3 pretzel rolls / pretzel rolls

  • 6 tablespoons sauerkraut

  • 3 tsp chives

The preparation is not difficult:

  • For the sauce:

mix the mayonnaise with the sweet mustard and pepper.

    Put aside.

  • For the burger:

Peel the onion and cut into thick slices.

Heat the oil in a grill pan and fry the onion slices together with the grilled sausages.

  • Halve the pretzel rolls and brush all sides with the mayo-mustard sauce.

Cover the underside with sauerkraut, sausage, onion and chives.

    Cover with bun topper.

Fun fact no. 2: Oktoberfest service staff are real muscle men 💪🏼

    via GIPHY

Not an easy job that hundreds of women and men do with flying colors every year.

And the job is not easy either, as a pint of beer weighs exactly

    2.3 kg

    .

How can I be so sure?

The Oktoberfest beer is usually served in Bavarian beer mugs, which have a standardized weight of 1.3 kilograms and also hold one liter of beer.

So, according to Adam Riese, 2.3 kg.

And now it comes: One server can transport up to

    18 (!) mugs

at the same time through the narrow seats and aisles.

    That's

    over 41 kilograms

    .

You can easily save yourself weight training in the gym here.

In my opinion, good service and physical work should be rewarded accordingly.

So give your waiter a good tip and always be nice 😊.

This quick Schupfnudel pan with bratwurst is perfect when you're really hungry, or this bratwurst goulash with beer is perfect when you don't want to fire up the grill.
