Ulrich Wickert (79) has returned to his old job at the "Daily Topics" - but only for a one-off visit.
In the evening, the former "Tagesthemen" moderator read the information on the ARD news program that moderator Caren Miosga (53) is now presenting the program longer than he himself and is therefore the longest-serving moderator.
For 15 years and two months, Wickert moderated the “Tagesthemen”, which are produced in Hamburg by the joint venture ARD-aktuell.
He's probably still in the ear of many with his farewell greeting for every program - he always wished a "restful night".
In 2006, Wickert stopped working for the ARD flagship.
ARD program director Christine Strobl and ARD editor-in-chief Oliver Köhr said of Miosga: »Her style is unmistakable: competent, understandable and clear, highly professional, but always with empathy and a special charm.
Caren Miosga has long since become ›Mrs.
Topics of the day.” In 2007 she replaced her predecessor Anne Will, and according to ARD, her contract runs until 2025.
