A neglected and unattractive duplex apartment in Givatayim underwent a comprehensive renovation with a budget of about one million shekels.
The apartment includes a ground floor with an area of 92 square meters, a roof floor with an area of 38 square meters and a roof terrace with an area of 80 square meters.
This is a couple and their teenage daughter, who over the years have collected design items that symbolize their personal taste and are integrated into the renovated spaces.
During the renovation, the interior partitions were removed and the shell, columns, plumbing cores and the security room remained.
The apartment has been completely renovated.
This is how the makeover was planned
The palette of shades and materials
The prominent materials include combinations of wood and metal in various processing.
The entire apartment is floored with wooden parquet and the walls are painted white.
The pieces of art and decoration are integrated in the different spaces of the house and are spots of color that bring life to the house and especially the taste of the residents.
The entrance hall
The entrance door to the apartment was replaced by a black door with golden fittings and next to it the kitchen was designed in the same colors.

Living room
Along the entire ground floor, a carpentry wall was planned with frames in the color of the walls.
On one side of the wall, the living space extends from end to end.
And along it are integrated two doors that lead to its other side - the parents' wing and the guest services.
The existing windows were replaced with windows from a Belgian profile in a black shade, with divisions, from which the roofs of the city can be seen.
A refined array of airy curtains is set along the windows and adds another design dimension.

The master bedroom
In the parents' bedroom, there is a wall closet for the entire width of the room.
The sliding doors of the bathroom were designed in wooden frames painted in matte black.
The covering of the walls with white tiles from the floor to the ceiling corresponds with the texture of the tiles and the fittings in black.
The service cabinet under the sink was custom designed and painted in a powder shade.

guests bathroom
In the guest bathroom, a wall covering up to half the height of the room was planned.
The cabinets were custom designed and painted in a greenish shade.

The dining area
Next to the living space, the dining area was planned.
The round dining table, with a wooden finish, allows opening in case guests arrive.
Next to the table is a metal library built from a thin grid of iron and wooden shelves.
The unit was designed from wall to wall with the window inside.

kitchen
The kitchen was designed in an 'R' shape with low cabinets on one side and floor-to-ceiling cabinets on the other.

In the center of the kitchen is an island with a wooden surface and a lower cupboard in a light shade and seating.
Minimalistic lighting was planned along the kitchen cabinets in two lines.
A light fixture hangs above the island.
The central shade is black, which is refined and softened by light touches and golden brass.

The rise to the second floor
The stairs leading to the top floor are covered with parquet.
At the top of the staircase opens a large window that lets in light from the balcony.
At the end of the stairs you can enter the unit designed for a girl or go directly to the roof terrace.

The girl's room
From the upper foyer you can enter, as mentioned, the unit designed for a girl or go directly to the roof terrace.
One of the walls in the room was dedicated to a large wall-to-wall display case, from which you can go out to a private part of the balcony that serves as an external living room to the room itself, thus expanding it.
All the carpentry in the room was custom designed and painted in the color of the wall, with the aim of creating the illusion of a space wider than its dimensions.
The attached bathroom is tiled in shades of black and white.

the foreign territories
The balcony combines seating areas and an outdoor kitchen.
The mosaics that were on the walls of the building and the railing were removed.
The vegetation on the roof combines green vegetation in planters alongside tall trees and colorful flowers, for a fresh and lively look.
Lighting fixtures were integrated among the plants for a rich and well-kept look.
Hanging pergolas were designed as aluminum frames painted in the color of the plaster, and among the frames were integrated walnut-colored wooden panels containing a ceiling fan and lighting strips.
Under the large pergola and parallel to the large window that accompanies the internal staircase, a large table was designed that allows you to sit comfortably and eat family meals together.
The existing railing was replaced with a clear glass railing without frames for an open look.
The sitting area on the roof has an unobstructed view of the great city up to the rooftops of Tel Aviv.
