Diesel is a Guinness fashion show, which brings the largest inflatable sculpture in the world to the center of the catwalk and on the stands of the Allianz Cloud Arena in Milan almost 5,000 people including employees, students, professionals and people who had booked online.
At the center of the collection, the experimentation on denim carried out by Glenn Martens.
"I wanted to open Diesel to the public, to people who - says the creative director of the Otb group brand - may never have been to a fashion show before. They deserve a show, so we broke the record for the largest inflatable sculpture. in the world".
And perhaps also the one for the more radical treatments on denim, which becomes a devoré dress by weaving the canvas on a transparent base, is knitted, embroidered roughly with a layer of tulle and then torn.
Other denims, on the other hand, were joined to a layer of cotton and then subjected to an acid wash, revealing the fabric once again.
Scans of worn denim were also made to create trompe-l'oeil prints,
while many garments are finished with raw denim, work trousers with maxi pockets are solarized and others plasticized.
While some handcrafted denim pieces are cut and worn as if denim is being turned into fur, one coat in particular is made up entirely of over 15,000 aged and brushed Diesel labels.
