PayPal cancels popular service: Here you have to change now

PayPal is a popular payment service in online shopping, now it is discontinuing a popular service.

The pants are too tight and the shoes too big?

No problem, because ordered goods can easily be returned.

PayPal offers its support, but that's over now.

Munich - The purchase of products is now easier than ever.

With just a few clicks, an order is already placed.

However, not all packages are kept, because in Germany every fourth package is returned.

In most cases, the companies you ordered from will pay for the return shipping.

But there are always exceptions.

The popular payment service provider PayPal has therefore established a service that handles the return shipment for its customers.

But this will be abolished later this year.

On November 27, PayPal will end the return cost service, as the service provider announced.

Then customers can no longer have their return amounts reimbursed.

Customers can use the service up to twelve times a year.

PayPal accepts returns up to 25 euros, which can lead to savings of 300 euros per year.

The customers have to observe the conditions - because those who have not met the return deadline or return conditions will get nothing.

Applications submitted before the deadline and pending will still be processed, PayPal said.

Other services, such as buyer protection, should not be affected.

“At PayPal we are constantly updating and developing new offers for our customers.

Sometimes certain services need to be discontinued as part of these larger changes," PayPal said.

No other reasons were given.

It can be assumed that customers have used the service too often and the reimbursement is no longer profitable for the payment service provider.

The free return can still be claimed until November 26th, but after that it will be over.
