Police say a car has been stolen in the UK with a two-year-old girl strapped into the back seat.
The child's parents' car was parked with the engine running in front of a relative's house in the English village of Quarrington Hill on Wednesday evening while the family unloaded their groceries, investigators said.
Meanwhile, another car stopped, a man jumped out, climbed into the family car and drove off.
A family member stood by the car, but could not prevent the theft.
The stolen vehicle was soon found a few kilometers away - with the child on board.
It was - at least physically - intact.
However, the family's cat, which was also in the car, is missing so far.
The police said they were looking for the thief and his accomplices.
