Clarissa Moor is an acclaimed best-selling author and executive director of a Michelin-starred restaurant.

She also holds writing workshops.

In the media she is celebrated as the second Charlotte Link.

The influx is enormous, those interested in the workshop are queuing up.

I like the setting of the thriller.

An exclusive writing course by a best-selling author, who is also the manager of a star restaurant, forms the framework of the Cologne crime thriller, which shines with local color.

I also liked the character of the investigating officer, Katharina Sismann.

As a former boxer, she knows how to help herself even in difficult situations.

She hasn't exactly made friends at the writing workshop hosted by Clarissa Moor over the years.

Although she admits that all authors somehow copy from others, she often leaves her students with harsh judgments without offering any help.

Katharina Sismann and her team are also aware that this expands the range of possible perpetrators.

But maybe it's even further in the past?

Antje Zimmermann "Mrs. Faust": My conclusion

Antje Zimmermann constructs a case that is not so easy to see through.

Various people and motifs appear, are discarded and as a reader you can guess who will be behind bars in the end.

A debut worth reading.
