Thus the spokesman of the Chinese embassy in Italy complies with the statements made by the Fdi leader Giorgia Meloni on Taiwan in an interview with Cna, the Taiwanese agency.
"Taiwan is an inalienable part of China. The Taiwan issue is about Chinese sovereignty and territorial integrity," adds the embassy.
"Taiwan's affairs - says the spokesman for the Chinese embassy in Rome - are purely internal affairs of China and do not tolerate external interference. The principle of a single China is the consensus of the international community and the fundamental norm of international relations, as well as the political premise and the basis with which China establishes and develops diplomatic relations with all countries, including Italy.
We urge everyone to realize the extreme sensitivity of the Taiwan issue, to seriously respect the principle of one China, not to send misleading signals to the separatist forces of "independence of Taiwan ". (ANSA).
