A polling station What to do if you are abroad or if you have Covid. You need an identity document, even if it has expired (ANSA)

Pink for the House, yellow for the Senate.

These are the ballots that will be delivered to the voters on Sunday 25 September in the polling stations that will be open from 7 to 23. You can also vote in hospitals (also in Covid departments) and in prisons, if the voters concerned have communicated that they want to exercise their right in this particular condition.

Voting is also possible for young people who are abroad for Erasmus or in any case for study.

No cell phones from the polls but also children who will not be able to accompany their parents in the voting booth.

Here is a handbook on the elections of 25 September.

-

TWO CARDS

.

The polling station gives the voter two ballots, one for the Chamber and one for the Senate.

The models of the two cards are identical.

The cards show the name of the candidate in the single-member constituency and, for the multi-member constituency, the identification of each list or the marks of the coalition lists connected to it.

The names of the relevant candidates in the plurinominal board are printed next to the markings on the lists.

-

HOW TO EXPRESS THE VOTE

.

A mark must be made on the rectangle containing the identification of the list and the names of the candidates in the plurinominal board.

The vote thus expressed is valid for the purposes of electing the candidate in the single-member board and in favor of the list in the multi-member board.

If the sign is drawn only on the name of the candidate in the single-member constituency, the vote is in any case also valid for the linked list.

In the presence of several lists linked in the coalition, the vote is divided among the lists of the coalition.

The vote expressed by drawing a sign on the label of the list also applies to the linked single-member candidate.

Elections of 25 September: the vademecum

- ELECTORAL CARD, EYE THE STAMPS

.

The electoral card is renewed at the electoral office of the municipality of residence.

If the spaces are all occupied by stamps it is better to think about it in time, to avoid the last-minute lines.

In any case, the municipal offices prepared to issue the cards will remain open from 9 to 18 today and tomorrow 24 September and, on the day of the vote, for the entire duration of the voting operations, and therefore from 7 to 23.

- FOR THOSE WHO ARE OUTSIDE THEIR OWN MUNICIPALITY

.

Voting in another Municipality, other than that of one's residence, is allowed for people hospitalized and nursing homes, for soldiers, sailors, members of the section electoral office and the police;

also for the list representatives, designated by the parties.

All the others will have to reach their city and for this there are reduced transport rates.

- HOW TO VOTE ABROAD.

Those who are abroad for work or study were able to ask for the ballot paper and vote by correspondence.

- DOCUMENT IS NEEDED (EVEN EXPIRED)

.

To vote, in addition to the electoral card, it is necessary to present an identity document, "even if it has expired", specify the faq of the Interior Ministry.

A card issued by a professional association is also valid if it is accompanied by a photograph.

- ASSISTED VOTING.

For the blind or those with disabilities such that they cannot vote on their own (for example those with amputated hands or paralysis), the vote can be expressed with the help of an assistant but a special code is required on the card election that certifies this particular condition.

- NEW CARD FOR WHO WAS WRONG.

The voter who realizes that he has made a mistake in voting can ask the chairman of the polling station to replace the ballot itself, being able to cast his vote again.

To this end, the president will give him a new card, inserting the replaced one among the deteriorated cards.
