Increase the spending power of Italians by protecting them from inflation that now travels like a train 'piloted' by the 'monstrous' increases in energy.

It is the priority of priorities for those who will soon sit at Palazzo Chigi.

But the economic dossiers for the new government are many and the recipes for dealing with them are in many cases different.

All with two unknowns: war and covid.

Here are some of the most urgent dossiers in a nutshell:

-

INFLATION

: it is the mother of all problems.

The definitive data from Istat confirm that, in August, it reached a record rate since the end of 1985: 8.4%.

The price increases for the shopping cart were almost 10%.

-

BUDGET DIFFERENCE

: create new debt to support families and businesses.

In the center-right the positions are different between those who call for caution and those who ask immediately while the outgoing premier has warned: 31 billion have already been disbursed.

The left says 'no' and asks that companies pay, the M5s warns: there is a risk of having to do it much more full-bodied.

The Democratic Party invokes it as an extreme ratio.

-

EXTRA-PROFITS

: The outgoing government has already intervened aiming for a collection this year of over 6 billion with an extraordinary contribution from the producers.

Many political forces are calling for this extra profit contribution to be increased.

-

VAT:

It is asked to cancel it for basic necessities to help families.

-

TAX

: the tax delegation which was definitively rejected in the Senate together with fair compensation must be recovered.

Among the controversial nodes the rforma of the land registry.

-

COMPANIES IN CRISIS

: The crisis tables at the Ministry of Labor risk making a boom: according to Confindustria's calculations, expensive energy is bringing companies with a greater burden of 68 billion on an annual basis to their knees.

-

PENSIONS:

Quota 102 expires at the end of the year (retired with 64 years of age and 38 of contributions).

The unions ask for more flexibility - among the requests that of retiring for 62 years or with 41 years of contributions - to cope with the return on leaving only with 67 years of age or with 42 years and 10 months of contributions for men and 41 years and 10 months for women, as provided by Fornero.

-

WORK

: Supporting employment and defending it from the risk that the energy crisis may be discharged on workers is another priority issue, which also focuses on the issue of precariousness.

-

SALARY-CONTRACTS

: Runaway inflation and expensive energy erode the purchasing power of wages.

Hence the urgency, according to the unions, to renew all contracts and de-tax increases.

-

MINIMUM WAGE-DRC:

The minimum wage is loudly demanded by the left.

Unions are more cautious.

The EU directive remains 'suspended'.

For the Income a real electoral war between the 'abolitionists' and the 'bestists'.

The measure could be revised.

-

SUPERBONUS

: even on the 110% building superbonus the electoral campaign was unleashed between those who defend it for the work created and the environmental impact and those who instead point out how the State has been 'looted'.

-

BILLS

: this is the moment of the major emergency for families and businesses.

The government intervened but in the opinion of almost all in an insufficient way.

New interventions are expected.

-

FUELS-GAS

: An extension for the discount is conceivable: just over 30 cents per liter until October.

For gas, a 'ceiling' on the price is being discussed at European level.

- PNRR

: The construction sites have already started.

The hypothesis is to re-discuss it since it was born before the energy emergency and therefore when the price level was very different.

-

ITA

: One of the most complex dossiers lands on the table of the new government.

The Mef has chosen the USA Certares fund, in commercial partnership with Delta and Air France-KLM, for the exclusive negotiation.

The closing at the end of the year.

-

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

: Agens, the LPT employer association, asks for a ceiling on energy tariffs, respect for refreshment times and continuous support for the sector to maintain the financial balance of businesses, necessary to guarantee the continuity of services.

-

TLC NETWORK

: Among the hot dossiers that pass from the Draghi Government to the next one is that of the Unica Network.

The ministries most directly involved are those of economic development, innovation and digital transition and of course the Mef to which Cdp responds, which in turn controls 60% of Open Fiber, the operator that sells wholesale fiber.

And so the ministers Daniele Franco, Giancarlo Giorgetti and Vittorio Colao closely followed the evolution of the reorganization plan prepared by the CEO of Tim Pietro Labriola and which, passing through the corporate separation of the network and services, has as an optimal solution that of a merger of Netco with Open Fiber.
