Three out of 10 inhabitants of Campania under 60 live in "low work intensity" families: in households with adults (excluding students and pensioners) who work less than 20% of the potential time.
It emerges from the Eurostat tables on poverty according to which the region with 29.6% in 2021 records a strong increase compared to 25.6% in 2020 and 18.6% in 2019. In Sicily the rate is 22.9% while in the Italian average the rate is 11.7.
Campania is also the region with the highest number of families who receive the DRC: 236,973 families in July, 256,986 if we add those with citizenship pension.
