voted this morning, at 8.45 am, in the Giovanni XXIII - Piazzi school in Palermo.
The head of state anticipated the arrival in the institute in via Rutelli, to avoid the concomitance with the commemoration ceremony for the killing of judge Cesare Terranova and marshal Lenin Mancus, which took place on 25 September 1979 in the same street.
The head of state voted, as usual, in section 535, greeted by applause from the tellers and people present.
The leader of the League,
Matteo Salvini
, voted in Milan in the seat in via Pietro Martinetti.
On leaving he told reporters that he will spend the day of voting with his daughter on the farm.
"I count that the League is the parliamentary force on the podium, first, second or third at the most," Salvini also said, after voting.
To those who asked him if fourth place would be a defeat, he replied: "I play to win, not to participate".

Matteo Renzi
voted in Florence in the Villani school in viale Giannotti, in Gavinana.
Together with Renzi, his wife Agnese Landini also voted.
Renzi and his wife were accompanied by Francesco Bonifazi, outgoing senator of Iv and candidate for the Third Pole, who also voted in the same polling station.
Matteo Renzi now leaves for Tokyo to go to Shinzo Abe's state funeral.
