Australian surfing star Chris Davidson, 45, is dead. A man hit him in the face outside a pub in New South Wales, between Sydney and Brisbane, on Saturday night.
Davidson fell and hit his head on the sidewalk.
When the emergency services came, Davidson was lying unconscious on the ground, as reported by several media outlets, such as The Guardian and BBC.
Paramedics treated him at the scene of the accident before he was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.
Police arrested a 42-year-old man at his home in South West Rocks early Sunday morning.
