Positive session for the Milan Stock Exchange after the political elections: the Ftse Mib index closed with an increase of 0.67% 21,207 points.
Equity markets on the Old Continent without a precise direction at the end of the session: London recorded a final increase of 0.07%, with Amsterdam up 0.1%, while Paris recorded a decline of 0.2%.
The lists of Frankfurt, which lost 0.4%, and Madrid, which closed down 0.8%, were weaker.
A very nervous day for European government bonds, with the spread between 10-year BTPs and German Bunds reaching 242 basis points towards the end of the session, compared to 231 at the start, with a yield on the Treasury product at 4 , 5%.
The BTP rate thus corrects the highs since 2013, while the differential exceeds the closing level of mid-June, touched on the wave of the uncertainties of the ECB for the anti-spread shield, and reaches the level of mid-May 2020.
