(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 27 - In August, 1.18 million families benefited from the income or citizenship pension for 2.51 million people involved and an average amount per family of 549 euros.
This was revealed by the INPS in the Osservatoriosul Income from which it emerges that 64.2% of the families who have the check against poverty are in the South and in the islands.
There are 759,720 families for 1.7 million people and an average allowance of € 581.17.
In the North, the households receiving the measure are 242,572 for 449,247 people and an average allowance of € 479.38.
Almost half of households with income or citizenship pension (553,380 out of 1,182,308) have only one component.
The expenditure on income and the citizenship pension in the first 8 months of the year amounted to 5.37 billion euros.
