A woman wonders why a strange, red tomcat wants to come into her house.
Until she finds out he has an illness
When a crying and apparently completely off track tomcat stands in front of her front door, the sight softens Marcella's heart.
She really wants to help him, but she cannot easily let him into her house because she has a dog and is worried that her four-legged friend could scare him away.
So she feeds him on the porch and does some research.

However, she says that she saw the cat in the neighborhood a while ago, but is not entirely sure.
After a while she notices people on the street who are apparently looking for something.
She quickly goes out and speaks to them: "I asked them if they were looking for a red cat by any chance.
If so, he's right here on the porch," she tells

And indeed it is the overjoyed owners.
"They were so relieved.
When they picked him up, they explained to me that his name is Fred, he has dementia, takes medication that confuses him, and used to live at my house.”
