Digging - to delete or not to delete (Tinder): when and how will you find out the status of your relationship (Waala system!)

It was only a matter of time before it arrived: Meet OfftheGrid, a new mobile app designed for travelers that combines everything wanderlust, enviable vacation photos and practical information about sites, an online map and even the option to swipe left and right, just like on Tinder .

More scenery, less selfies

Formmer's website reports that the app, which launched earlier this month, allows users to upload and comment on other users' vacation photos and videos, share details about their upcoming trips, find destination inspiration, follow other travelers, and even have face-to-face meetings.

Just for example, the Discover tab in the app will let you express your opinions on other people's photos by swiping left or right.

True, you may come across a selfie here and there, but most of the photos showcase dramatic landscapes, famous buildings and other special scenes taken in destinations around the world.

But unlike Tinder, swiping right and left has nothing to do with romance.

Instead, each swipe will bring you a virtual currency of the app.

Once you have ten coins, you can get access to the area below the photo you like, and there you will get more information about the place where it was taken, including a map, a short description and a list of nearby attractions.

You can then bookmark this photo and come back to it later when you're preparing for your next trip.

Of course, those coins are the app developers' way of making you swipe left and right, but there is also the option to purchase coins with real money.

The application allows you to upload and comment on vacation photos and videos of other users (photo: screenshot, official website)

meet in the "real world"

The "real world" meetings section is in the Trips tab, where users can post the dates and locations of their vacations, and message other travelers for meetings.

The app has a number of safety measures including verification of the user profile, but it still does not have a personal background check, as is the case with some dating apps.

Therefore, it is recommended to be careful in your interpersonal communication, especially when it comes to meetings - and especially if you are traveling alone.

The founder of the project, Ethan Cervantes, says that one of the reasons for developing the application is the desire to help solo travelers who travel alone and are looking for company.

Naturally, another goal is to provide information and effective planning tools for Instagram users who want to visit some of the beautiful places they see on their feed.

To that end, OfftheGrid has a tab called Explore that features an interactive world map with markers indicating the most popular photos and videos.

In addition, it has filters that will allow you to search for specific attractions such as beaches, wildlife, food, various adventures and other photogenic matters.

In the future, it is planned to add photography contests, a route building tool and a tool for contacting the locals at the destination you are visiting.

The application is recommended from the age of 18, and is available for free download in the application stores.
