It is supposed to be "Germany's biggest music festival": soccer star Lukas Podolski, together with Michael Wendler's ex-manager, want to attract hundreds of thousands of fans to the Hockenheimring in September 2023.

If Lukas Podolski has conveyed feelings of happiness, it was mostly due to goals on the soccer field - in 130 international matches for Germany, for example, he scored 49 times and is fourth in the all-time top scorer list for the national team.

In his hometown of Cologne, however, people also know about Podolski's business acumen, who runs a kebab shop, an ice cream parlor, a soccer hall and a fashion label.

Lukas Podolski is now among the music organizers: »As you know, I love music.

And I love making people happy," Podolski wrote about an Instagram short film in which he lands on the Hockenheimring in a helicopter.

From September 14th to 17th, 2023, Podolski will be the flagship of the “Feelings of Happiness” festival on the North Baden automobile race track.

Under the motto »Happiness, Love & Powerbeats«, acts from the fields of pop, rock, hip-hop and EDM are to perform.

»40 hours of live music« is promised on the festival website.

A "Euphoria Stage" and a "Cloud 9 Stage" are to be set up.

So far, the following have been announced as performers: Marteria, Sido, Cro, Milky Chance, Sarah Connor, Alle Farben, ATB, Felix Jaehn, Paul van Dyk and Robin Schulz.

The Rostock rapper Marteria, who himself played promising football in his youth, also appears in Podolski's announcement video.

Podolski's business partner at the festival is the Gummersbach music manager Markus Krampe, who separated from his protégé Michael Wendler in 2020 with some ado when he was spreading conspiracy stories about Corona.

Today, Krampe manages pop singer Michelle, among other things, and organizes major events such as the »Inselfieber« festival, for which he wants to recreate Ballermann from Mallorca at the CentrO in Oberhausen in 2023.

Krampe and Podolski have set themselves high goals for the “Feelings of Happiness” festival.

They hope for "over 100,000 festival visitors on 1 million square meters with up to 60,000 campers" - all this should result in nothing less than "the largest music festival in Germany".

For comparison: 92,500 visitors came to »Rock am Ring« in the record year 2016.
