(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 28 - "The head of state elected by the people? Of course we would like to, but the reforms must possibly be done with dialogue between everyone. It is necessary to reform our constitution in some points. No one has said that it is old, but only which is not recent and must be updated. When we came out of fascism there was the concern of making the direct election of the decision-making bodies because democracy was weak, just born. Now democracy is mature in Italy, there are no dangers, despite those that are heralded electoral campaign. Nobody thinks that a dictatorship chosen by the people can arrive in Italy. Now we can aim for a French-style semi-presidentialism, without arriving at a presidentialism like the United States and Israel ".
This was stated by the national coordinator of the Brothers of Italy, Giovanni Donzelli,
at Radio Capital.
