Rewe withdraws product from sale – spinach is recalled

The supermarket chain Rewe is taking frozen leaf spinach out of the sale.
Ingredients are not labeled on its packaging.
Kassel/Berlin – The frozen food manufacturer Ardo is recalling a product: A leaf spinach sold by Rewe could contain allergens, the company said on Tuesday (September 27).
The allergens got into the product unintentionally.
Specifically, it is about "Rewe Best Choice Leaf Spinach".
It cannot therefore be ruled out that individual packages contain creamed spinach instead of leaf spinach, which contains the undeclared allergen milk.

Recall due to danger for allergy sufferers: Manufacturer recalls Rewe spinach
In particular, people with an allergy to cow's milk should not consume the product, the manufacturer informs in a statement.

Recall: Rewe takes leaf spinach out of the sale
The affected products have now been withdrawn from sale, it said.
Customers could return the product to Rewe and the purchase price would be refunded, even without presenting the receipt.
