"Anyone can sing," says Jonas Kaufmann, staring at me so intently that I want to believe him right away.

"But whether you can earn money with your singing and make others happy is another matter," adds the Munich star tenor.

For now, it would be enough for me to rediscover the joy of singing in my own voice after giving up my career in a children's choir.
