Over the years, Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich and even Ava Gardner have succeeded one another on the deck of this luxurious yacht for the biggest receptions.

In 1956, it even hosted the wedding of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and Grace Kelly.

In 2022, the boat on which Carl and Yaya vacation in

is home to a different kind of clientele.

“Among the passengers: a Muscovite oligarch who made his fortune in food fertilizers, accompanied by his wife and his mistress, a lady in a wheelchair suffering from a stroke, an English couple whose husband owns an arms firm , and a chubby and solitary forty-year-old who has just sold his company”

, describes Éric Neuhoff.

In Ruben Östlund's satire, the idyllic cruise turns into a nightmare when a storm breaks out.

The boat rocks, the delicacies do not pass, the toilets explode and the ship sinks.

In reality, Christina Onassis inherited the yacht that bears her name on the death of her father in 1975. She sold it to the Greek government, which first made it a presidential ship.

According to

, the

Christina O

has

"since been resold several times to private owners and restored for new tens of millions of dollars"

and is available for rent from €560,000 per week.
