The junta in Burma today sentenced former civilian government leader Aung San Suu Kyi to three years in prison for violating the law on official secrets. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - RANGOON, 29 SEPTEMBER - The junta in power in Burma today sentenced the former leader of the civilian government Aung San Suu Kyia to three years in prison for violating the law on official secrets.

His adviser, the Australian economist Sean Turnell, was also sentenced to the same penalty.
