American rapper Coolio, known for his iconic hit Gangsta's Paradise, has been found dead at the age of 59.

His long-time manager and friend, Jarez Posey, told the American media that the artist was found dead on the bathroom floor of a friend's house in Los Angeles last Wednesday.

The cause of his death is not yet known, but the likely possibility is that Kolio suffered a cardiac arrest.

The MTZ website updates that the police found no evidence of drug use at or near the scene of the death, and also stated that there is no suspicion of criminal activity.

An autopsy, which will be conducted later, will determine the cause of the artist's death, but Posey himself said that: "From what I know right now, he was at a friend's house and suffered a heart attack."

He still had time to go on tour.
