(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, 29 SEPT - "If someone is in difficulty in the middle of the sea, it is morally and humanly an obligation to help and not make things more difficult".

Michael Czerny, Prefect of the Dicastery for Integral Human Development Service (which also deals with the protection of migrants), responding to those who ask, in a press conference, if the Vatican is concerned about the victory of a team that would not have among the priorities in the elections in Italy welcoming migrants.

"The Church in Italy has done a lot to accompany migrants and refugees, with very important initiatives also in the Mediterranean", added the cardinal.
