A group of Good Samaritans rescued an elderly man who was stranded in Bonita Springs, Fla., as Hurricane Ian hit the state's southwest coast on Wednesday (September 28).
Florida was swept by high winds and torrential rains, causing "catastrophic" flooding and widespread power outages.
The flood rose up to 3.6 m in height in places.
"We saw an elderly man struggling in his car and we knew he needed help," said a young American named Benny.
The guys levered the door open.
He was in shock, we reassured him.

Apprentices special envoys
On social networks, this band of "cowboys" played the special envoys by filming the evolution of the hurricane in the city of Bonita Springs, in the south-west of the State.
“No television channel is going to cover the storm.
We will do it for you.
We're risking our lives right now,” one member of the group, who call themselves the “Collier County cowboys,” shouts into the camera.
Governor Ron DeSantis said on Wednesday evening that it would probably be “one of the five strongest hurricanes to ever hit Florida”.
