The Minister of Labor, Olivier Dussopt, said on Tuesday he was open to tightening access to unemployment compensation in the case of "

", when an employee no longer comes to work without justification and ends up being fired by his employer.

", noted the minister before the Assembly's Social Affairs Committee, which examines its bill on unemployment insurance.

An abandonment of position is characterized when an employee is absent from his workstation without proof (medical certificate within 48 hours), nor authorization, and that he cannot claim to have exercised his right of withdrawal (the right to stop the activity if his safety or health is threatened).
