Assumption of heating costs: Not only basic recipients of Hartz IV receive money

Many consumers are already afraid of exploding heating costs.
People with low incomes or small pensions in particular are worried about how to pay their bills.
Munich - Not only Hartz IV recipients, but also citizens with a small pension or low income are entitled to financial state aid if they can no longer pay their bills for skyrocketing energy costs.

If the assets are above the limit, there is no entitlement to Hartz IV (simplified asset test based on § 67 Para. 2 SGB II).
Subsidy for heating costs: Those who do not need help are also entitled

But it doesn't have to be just a back payment.
The procurement of fuels such as heating oil, pellets, etc. could justify a claim to Hartz IV in the month of procurement.
This also applies if, for example, housing benefit and child allowance are already being drawn.
Prerequisite for financial support: The "one-time high additional payment for heating costs" only justifies a higher total requirement in the month in which it is due, which is why the Hartz IV application must also be submitted in this month.

Heating cost subsidy also for housing benefit recipients
For those who still want to do without help from the job center, the Federal Ministry of Building has launched a housing benefit reform.
You can easily calculate whether you will receive housing benefit online using the building ministry’s housing benefit calculator.
According to a calculation by the Institute of German Economics, a single person who lives in a particularly expensive area is entitled to housing benefit up to a gross income of around 2,300 euros.
The same applies to a family of four in an expensive area with an income of less than 5,000 euros.
Here, too, the heating cost subsidy should be part of the housing benefit from next year, according

Until the reform comes into force on January 1, 2023, a second heating subsidy should relieve current housing benefit recipients this year.
The heating subsidy should be 415 euros for single people and 540 euros for two people.
For each additional household member, the subsidy increases by 100 euros.
Students and trainees who receive Bafög or other aid should also receive 345 euros as a heating subsidy.
But pensioners also benefit.
They are to receive a one-time energy allowance of 300 euros from the pension insurance on December 1st.
Incidentally, Hartz IV is to be replaced by citizen income from January 1st next year.
With the citizen's allowance, the rental costs are covered.
