CASTELNUOVO D'ELSA (FLORENCE) - A disturbing mixture of anguish, bewilderment, fear.
Thrilling situations, which raged in the Middle Ages along the ancient route of the Francigena, crossed by pilgrims on their way to Rome, the capital of the Christian world.
This is recalled by the traveling show 'Castellofobia, where fear crosses the Francigena' which will take place tomorrow evening - Friday 30 September - in the streets of the village of Castelnuovo d'Elsa (start at 21.30 - free admission).
Made by the actors of Trivia Aps in the festival 'Via Francigena in Valdelsa.
Between dream and legend '(scheduled until Sunday) the show will progressively involve the participants in a journey back in time, in a world suspended between light and darkness.
Brigands, plague victims, spirits and 'presences', perhaps of animals in the woods, will put a strain on the feeling of faith, fueled by suggestions and weaknesses.
Admission to the show is in groups, every 5/10 minutes, and the total duration of the itinerary with a vague horror flavor is 30/40 minutes.
The evening actually inaugurates the theatrical kermesse of the event along the Via Francigena, which until Sunday provides a rich program with itineraries suitable for hikers of all ages, bikers and riders, as well as a series of events that will affect both the Castle of Coiano (' poets on the Francigena ', visit and tasting on Saturday afternoon from 17 onwards) that the village of Castelnuovo d'Elsa with the market and the "Theatrical Night" on Saturday (by GAT) and a' village in celebration 'for the full day on Sunday.
