Netflix has officially announced the release date of the third season of the successful series "Emily in Paris".
December 21st is as far away as eternity for us, but we will use the time to examine what is really important - the locks worn by Lily Collins as Emily Cooper.
Spoiler: in the published teaser, Emily is seen cutting her own bangs (!!).

The step does not seem strange to those who follow Collins on social media, where she has been showing off her bangs for a long time, and still, it is a dramatic step, which Cooper tries to explain without success: "Sometimes the bangs are cut even when everything is fine."
Yes, sure.
We'll need a bit more convincing gameplay to believe that statement.
And for our purposes.
In the new season, the heroine of the series is faced with life-changing dilemmas - whether to stay in Paris, and join the boutique marketing company of Sylvie, one of her co-workers, or return to Chicago and continue working at Savoier.
In addition, in the second season, Emily was torn between the two men in her life - the handsome chef Gabriel, who returned to the arms of his lover Camille, and Alfie - the handsome banker who moved to London.
Among all these dilemmas, Collins boasts a variety of fashionable looks, some of which we liked, and some of which we didn't.
The stylist Patricia Field, known to us from "Sex and the City" and "The Devil Wears Prada", is of course responsible for the costumes.
A motif that returns in Emily's blocks, and also appeared in the previous season in blocks burned into the mind, are clothes with a check pattern.
If in the previous season the pattern appeared in a black and white bucket hat, and in the first season in an iconic suit with a jacket and shorts in the same colors and a red beret, this time it is a very strong trend - a bra cut top.
The first picture shows Cooper with a black and white plaid top, over which is a textured black cardigan, combined with a dark red bottom.
In the second block, Emily is seen sitting on a lounger by a pool, a block that is suitable for a vacation - a checkered top in green and white tied at the chest, with slightly puffy shoulders, and a matching short bottom.
She added cat-eye sunglasses to complete the look, and a sort of shawl on her shoulders, which we were less attached to.

Plaid suit with red beret. A look that became iconic

Another trend adopted by the stylist and we like it, is the use of wide tailored pants that do not sit tight on the body.
We found two looks that we really liked.
In one of them she is seen in baggy black pants, a red top with white dots, a matching belt and platform shoes.
In the second block, she wears a total look that combines checks and a hint of a pepita pattern.
She wears tailored gray check pants with red stripes, paired with a black Stella McCartney wide check top, topped with a gray and pink double lapel check jacket from Zara.
The look was completed with a black and white bag by Carolina Herrera, in a pattern that looks like a zoom-in for Pepita, and a stylish black hat.

Four items with squares in different patterns
Block after Emily is seen at a formal event with Alfie, wearing a high neck evening dress.
It is a Paco Raban dress, silver in color with an ombre pattern in delicate pink and purple, and a row of buttons.
The dress is completed by an updo hairstyle, which together with the new bangs creates a clean and elegant look that we really liked.

In another photo, Emily is seen sitting for coffee with her two friends Camille and Mindy.
The star wears a woolly colored sweater with geometric shapes, a mini skirt and shiny green boots that reach above the knee.
We connected less with the look and the combination between the items.

The ones who steal the show are the two friends - Camille with a ruffled oversized Balmain jacket, jeans, a Louis Vuitton bag with a red strap that matches well with the colors of the jacket, and dramatic black glasses.
The star for us is Mindy, who in general presents a very successful style.
She wears a bright green leaf print two-piece suit, consisting of a tailored shirt and baggy pants.

We'll end with a block we liked the most: Emily is sitting on a park bench with her friend Mindy, and both are showing chic with a Parisian scent.
Mindy sticks to a two-piece suit that includes a tailored top and pants, both in a shiny gold color, and silver platform shoes, which would have been better if they came in a color matching the suit or in white.

Emily is dressed in shades of yellow.
The most prominent item of the designer is a jacket with a double lapel, which is slightly reminiscent of the yellow raincoats of the past, in an elegant and mature version.
The jacket was paired with a pink Isabel Marais lace shirt with a high collar that gives a nice touch, and dark shorts.
A scarf that combines white, green and yellow is tied to her head, and she wears yellow shoes with a platform in the front part and a thick heel.
The item we liked the most is of course the socks, which reach almost to the knees of the star with a colorful sunflower print.
The investment in the small items is evident, and the coffee cups that the girls are holding also come, of course - in yellow.

It seems that even in the third season of the series, the stylist maintains strong colors, surprising combinations of prints and unique items from the runways.
We can only hope that the series will continue to provide us with pure escapism and fashion inspiration.
And no bangs in the fourth season, we beg.
