(ANSA) - VENICE, SEPTEMBER 30 - One of the defendants in the trial against the '' new Mala del Brenta 'was attacked and scarred today in the bunker courtroom in Mestre by another of the defendants in the proceedings, using a sharp object, perhaps a splinter of glass, hit him in the face and torso.
Only the intervention of the prison police managed to get the aggressor, Paolo Pattarello, off his 'opponent' Loris Trabujo, to whom he shouted "infamous" several times.
According to reports, the injured was immediately rescued, taken to hospital, and then taken back to prison in Tolmezzo.
The injuries would therefore not be serious.
