In just under half a year, shooting will begin on the second season of the successful fantasy reboot "House of the Dragon".
The Game of Thrones prequel is unlikely to return until 2024 at the earliest.
Spanish newspaper Hoy has learned when filming will resume in the old town of Caceres, southwest Spain, which is used as the setting for King's Landing (aka King's Landing).
In the spring of 2023, the team behind House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, will return.

HBO has signed up for the period from March to June, although the majority of the indoor scenes will of course not be shot in Caceres, but at Warner Studios in Watford, England.
It remains to be seen whether this work will take place before, parallel to or after the outdoor shoot.
Either way, it seems pretty clear that HotD won't be able to return until 2024 at the earliest.
Whether with or without Milly Alcock and Emily Carey, whose roles will be taken over by other actresses after a time jump, is probably not yet clear.
