A Tamtürk brand product is disappearing from supermarket shelves for the time being.

Anyone who has already shopped should check their fridge.

Kassel/Brunswick - The Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) has

issued a warning about a "Tamtürk" brand sausage product via its consumer portal

foodwarning.de .

Several batches of the product "TT Tavuk Spezial 1000g" are affected.

The butcher shop Sivas from Duisburg announced on Monday (September 26) that the article was being recalled because of “existing health risks”.

Customers should be careful.

There's another recall at the supermarket.

The poultry sausage is therefore contaminated with Listeria.

Listeria are bacteria that can usually cause illnesses with diarrhea, vomiting and fever within 14 days.

For risk groups (e.g. pregnant women, the elderly and immunocompromised) an infection can be life-threatening.

Listeria are often found in animal foods, so sausages from another manufacturer are currently being recalled for the same reason.
