A Normandy municipality will offer fleeces to schoolchildren to support the drop in heating in class

The mayor of the town of Périers has allocated an envelope of 5000 euros to finance the initiative, which should benefit 350 students.

The time is for sobriety and the government is doing everything to push the French to adopt the right gestures.

We saw it with Bruno Le Maire, who decided to adopt the turtleneck, or even Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, who showed herself on the move with a very warm down jacket.

The government thus hopes to make as many people as possible understand the need to limit heating to a temperature of 19 degrees.

This would limit the risk of power cuts when temperatures really begin to drop.

This recommendation should also be respected in schools.

Still, it can be difficult for our toddlers to endure a whole day of somewhat cool temperatures.

This is what prompted the mayor of the town of Périers in Normandy to take out the checkbook to help families dress their children warmly.

The polars will be given from November

Gabriel Daube has therefore released an envelope of 5000 euros.

Enough to allow the municipality to buy fleeces to give them to the approximately 350 children who attend primary and kindergarten classes in the municipality.

“Children must be in the best conditions to learn at school, explains the city councilor to our colleagues from BFMTV.

If it can also allow children whose families cannot afford to be warm during classes, very good”.

The purchase of these fleeces also aims to provide assistance to the poorest families, who do not necessarily have the means to buy warmer clothes.

The town hall bought blue fleeces adorned with the town's logo.

Delivery is scheduled for the month of November.
