Dog licking a woman's face (Craftosterone)
51-year-old Amanda Gomo, a resident of the United Kingdom, just wanted to talk when her daughter's pet, the Chihuahua Belle, felt unwell and slapped her on her face - right in her mouth.
"I was taking my nap with Belle by my side, like always, when suddenly Something splashed into my mouth," Gomo told South West News Service, "It was disgusting and I was still nauseous for hours afterwards.
I just couldn't get the taste out of my mouth."
Gomo's daughter took Belle to the vet, where the dog was diagnosed with a stomach bug. Later that day, Gomo herself began exhibiting some of the same symptoms as the sick dog—and she quickly sought medical attention.
The doctors prescribed her painkillers for the cramps she was experiencing in her stomach - and ordered her to drink a lot of water to flush out any possible infection.
However, her symptoms worsened over the next 48 hours, with the cramps eventually spreading throughout her body.
"The contractions got worse until I could feel them all over my body - even in my legs," said Gomo, "I was so dehydrated from the illness and the diarrhea that my kidneys shrunk to half their size."

The British woman called an ambulance and was rushed to the local hospital.
The doctors diagnosed her with a gastrointestinal infection that passed through Belle's feces into her mouth two days before.
Gomo was hospitalized for three days during which they fed her with electrolytes and glucose that she had lost during the ordeal.

And the blame is on her
"I was hospitalized for three days until they washed the infection out in the drain," said Gomo, who also suffers from Crohn's disease.
"My discharge certificate states that I suffered from a gastrointestinal infection caused by a dog defecating in my mouth - something the doctors had not witnessed before," she added.
She was eventually released from the hospital and says she is now feeling better.
Regarding the dog, she also recovered from the bacteria but she is not invited to sleep in Gomo's bed anytime soon.
She added: "I forgave Belle for her little accident and I still love her with all my heart, but I will definitely think more carefully about what position we sleep in the future!".
