(ANSA) - ISTANBUL, 01 OCT - The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence presented a report according to which groups deemed terrorists, including from abroad, have incited with propaganda, and by procuring explosive material, the protests, which have been going on for over two weeks, for Mahsa Amini, 22-year-old Kurdish woman who died following arrest by the moral police for not wearing the veil correctly.
This was announced by the Irna agency, according to which 49 members of the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (Mko) group, considered terrorist by Tehran, were arrested, who spread propaganda to incite the riots and provided incendiary material to the demonstrators, following orders sent by members of the group in Albania.
According to the report, "5 terrorists" were captured with 36 kg of explosive material while among those arrested there were also 77 militants in Kurdish groups and 92 people affiliated with the royal Pahlavi dynasty, expelled from the country after the Islamic Revolution in 1979
. Tehran had announced yesterday "nine foreign nationals from Germany, Poland, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Sweden and others were arrested during or behind the scene of the riots".
