“Seriously violent”: Inflation hits the supermarket – Kaufland customer complains online

Leipzig/Munich - The inflation rate has risen rapidly in recent months and even reached the 10 percent mark in September.

Although the data from the Federal Statistical Office are still provisional, experts have reckoned with a much lower inflation rate.

So consumers have to dig deep into their pockets when shopping.

Food is also affected by the rising prices.

An exemplary case: the price increase for a vegan product shocked a Kaufland customer - so much so that she publicly warned.

Nevertheless, there are always sharp price increases in supermarkets that consumers cannot understand.

This is also the case with a vegan fish substitute - the "Thun-Visch" from Garden Gourmet.

A customer shared the price increase on Facebook.

The price of the "Thun-Visch" rose from 3.49 euros to 4.29 euros.

She had seen the price in a Leipzig Kaufland branch.

"Fine, I'll keep buying the Tuna, but it's seriously intense," she wrote alongside the price tag image.

Despite the price, the customer does not want to do without the product - others do.

"It's brilliant, but I'll do without it.

That's too rude for me now.

You can buy real tuna with 10 grams more for 1.29 euros less,” explained a Facebook user in the comments.

“Was shocked too the days when I saw the days for 4.29.

Discovered at Rewe today for 3.79 and quickly bought it," wrote another user.

Apparently, the choice of supermarket makes a big difference.

As another user explained in the comments, the vegan tuna at Rewe only cost 3.79 euros.

This price can also be found in the Rewe online shop.

According to another user, you only pay 3.49 euros for the product in an Edeka branch.

In the comments, users listed other products such as fruit and vegetables that had become much more expensive.
