Munich – The new Infection Protection Act has consequences for millions of Germans.
Because anyone who has only been vaccinated twice against corona is no longer considered fully immunized.
With the new edition of the law, new regulations apply to all citizens with immediate effect.
As of October 1, a citizen is fully vaccinated if:
he
three individual vaccinations
.
Has.
The last vaccination must have been given at least three months after the second vaccination.
he has
two individual
vaccinations :

plus
a positive antibody test before the first vaccination
or

plus a
Sars-CoV-2 infection
detected by a PCR test after the second vaccination

New corona regulations: booster vaccinations for children too
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, around 12 million people in Germany have been vaccinated twice so far.
This corresponds to a share of the total population of just around 14 percent.
The Standing Committee on Vaccination (Stiko) recommends a booster vaccination, i.e. the first “booster”, for all people who have had basic immunization from the age of twelve.
In the case of people with a healthy immune system, she advises people to keep a minimum interval of six months between completed basic immunization and the first booster vaccination.
In justified individual cases, the interval can be reduced to four months after medical advice.
In addition, children aged five to eleven years with previous illnesses should receive a first booster vaccination at intervals of at least six months after completing the basic immunization.

Who is fully vaccinated as of October 1st?
People who have had two vaccinations or fewer against the coronavirus will no longer be considered fully vaccinated as

Anyone who has been vaccinated twice and recovered is considered to be fully vaccinated

The recovered status is verified using a
positive antibody test
before the first vaccination or a positive PCR test from before or after the second vaccination, according to
the Federal Center for Health Education on the subject of infection protection.
PCR tests, rapid antigen tests and antigen self-tests
are available as tests

The vaccinations according to the above regulations must have been carried out with one or different
vaccines
that are
approved by the European Union
or approved abroad.

The Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) provides information on corona test centers in the federal states.
Citizens can use a map of Germany to look for a test center near them.
But the federal states, cities and municipalities also provide information about their range of test centers in the respective regions.
Corona regulations: masks are compulsory in practices and railways
From October 1st, masks will be compulsory again in medical practices and on local public transport.
In addition, the nationwide mask and test verification obligation for hospitals and care facilities comes into force.
Those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered are exempt from the obligation to be tested.
Optionally, the federal states can also take individual measures depending on the infection situation.
For example, they decide whether masks are compulsory for
restaurants
and other
indoor areas

The federal states also decide whether there should be compulsory testing in
schools
again and a mask requirement from the fifth school year.
School closures, on the other hand, should no longer exist.
The mask requirement on airplanes, which has been in force for months, is also to end for the time being.
Incidentally, the corona incidence at the Munich Oktoberfest is currently increasing rapidly.
Which, according to virologist Hendrik Streeck, is not surprising.
One reason could be the many glasses that are not perfectly washed.
According to Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD), the pandemic is currently taking a back seat in view of the Ukraine war, energy supply and inflation.
"There are more important crises," said the minister at a joint press conference with RKI President Lothar Wieler.
At the PK, the two also presented a five-point plan to combat the pandemic.
