From Princess Diana to Kris Jenner: You won't believe what accessory is making a comeback
While alpha males like Brad Pitt are wearing skirts, women are embracing ties - and they're everywhere right now.

Last February, "Just Like This", the sequel to Sex and the City, aired, and unsurprisingly provided a wealth of material for future fashion discourse courtesy of the main character Carrie Bradshaw's (
Sarah Jessica Parker
) wardrobe.
Many things can be said about Bradshaw's meticulous wardrobe, and not all of them are positive, but there is no doubt that, in the test of time, this is an entity that never stops giving more and more reference points that represent significant fashion moments along the way.
This is how it turns out in the last season as well, that after years in which the looks were drawn up with the professional courtesy of
Patricia Field
(who in the meantime defected to Emily in Paris), the assembly work was entrusted to the costume designers
Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago
.
In episode 7, Bradshaw wears an outfit consisting of a purple blazer, a polka dot button-up shirt and a red tie.

More or less at the same time as the broadcast of the series, the fashion week runways for Fall Winter 22 marked the tie as a significant accessory that should be noticed this season.
True, women dressed in elements borrowed from the traditional male wardrobe is not sensational news these days.
In addition, over the years we have seen high profile famous female characters wearing a "masculine" total look of a tailored suit with a tie such as the legendary actress
Marlene Dietrich
,
Julia Roberts
at the 1990 Golden Globes ceremony, or
Princess Diana
wearing a matching suit and tie during her visit to Italy in April 1985.

Contrary to the unique festive statement that was previously reserved for a lady in a tie outfit, in recent weeks the tie has become a nonchalant street accessory that does not necessarily require a tailored blazer or a special event.
The latest incarnation of the ties can be found in the current round of Fashion Weeks in various gathering situations: from
street fashion presented by the invited crowd, through the collection runways for next spring to grandma
Kris Jenner
who came to babysit in the front row of Dolce & Gabbana, while mom
Kim
models on the stage .
