The Promised Land:

Besket celebrated the 20th anniversary of the "Wonderful Land" this weekend.

The stars of the generational program arrived on Thursday at the boat landing event complex in the Tel Aviv port for the premiere of the docu-film produced for the 20th anniversary celebrations, which will be broadcast today (Sunday) on Besket 12. The film will reveal behind-the-scenes stories that are expected to be released for the first time.

The show "Wonderful Country" did hit the screens in the fall of 2003, but that didn't stop Keshet and the members of the staff (which expanded greatly over the years) to celebrate its 20 years of satire.

At an event held at the Tel Aviv port last weekend, directors, writers, actors and other crew members gathered to celebrate two decades of broadcasting of the comical and sarcastic newscast.

"Israel Hayom" spoke with Eli Finish, Orna Banai, Eran Zarahovitch, Lior Ashkenazi and Alma Zak about the characters they liked to portray the most, the objects of imitation that were harmed in reality and also about those who may have been killed too much (spoiler: there are none).

The country's leading comedians also talked about the program's ability to change political reality, how they were recruited to the cast and the path and changes that "Eretz" has undergone in the 20 years it has been on the air.
