The decor.
For several seasons now, the Parisian halls of the Carreau du Temple have served as a showcase for the collections designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino.
This Sunday, October 2, it is in front of an assembly stained with Valentino pink spots, the flagship color of the fall-winter 2022-2023 which dresses the distinguished guests, that the new collection is unveiled.
An audience in contrast to the podium, which performs a 180 degree chromatic turn.
The collection.
A hypnotic “V” motif takes hold of the first silhouette to step onto the catwalk.
Present from head to toe, including the face, the black-on-beige monogram breaks away from the Barbie pink wave.
But also in a form of continuity: the Italian artistic director's obsession with harmony.
Although it excludes the key shade of the current season, monochrome is still at the heart of a new collection with clean lines and controlled sensuality.
Entirely sequined or feather-lined outfits, cut-out dresses, precise and structured windows on the body, fluidity and elegance... We find all the ingredients that made the reputation of the label founded by Valentino Garavani: sensuality without false notes and a impeccable sense of chic.
The front row.
Already lined with this new V pattern, the Zendaya brand ambassador makes its appearance.
Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn, actress Florence Pugh, singer Erykah Badu were also in attendance.
The detail.
As a finale, the models cross the threshold of the Parisian building, to offer rue Eugène Spuller the chance to discover this new exercise in style.
