Dead Sacheen Littlefeather, native who refused Oscar for Brando

(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 03 - Sacheen Littlefeather, the Native American activist and actress who was booed in 1973 for refusing an Oscar on behalf of Marlon Brando, died at the age of 75.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts andSciences itself announced it last night with a tweet.

"When I am gone, always remember that every time you defend your truth, you will keep alive my voice and the voices of our beliefs and of our people", these are the words of Littlefeather quoted by the Academy.
