(ANSA) - LUXEMBOURG, 03 OCT - "The reaction of the Member States is in itself fully justified, at the same time we must preserve our single market by avoiding fragmentation and strengthening the tools for solidarity".
This was stated by the European Commissioner for the Economy, PaoloGentiloni, upon his arrival at the Eurogroup in Luxembourg, responding to a question about Germany's 200 billion euro aid plan launched last week.
"Solidarity is not only on German shoulders, it is something we must provide at EU level - he highlighted -. We have excellent examples" of how it was implemented "in the previous crisis".
