(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 03 - In Italy the life expectancy at birth in 2021 was 82.4 years but the expectation changes in the territories with the South which is about 1.7 years less than the North.
This is what emerges from the Istat Report "Measures of equitable and sustainable wellbeing in the territories according to which between 2020 and 2021 life expectancy increased in the North (after the fall of the first period of the pandemic) and decreased in the South, settling at 81.3 years Significant gaps exist in education with 35.8% of students from the North in 2021 with an inadequate mathematical competence in the eighth grade compared to 60% in the South, but also in work and health (ANSA).
