Within the framework of the dual education development project to deepen the practice of the profession, in cooperation between the education and business sectors, the Ministry of Education signed today a memorandum of understanding with Da Vinci Home Design for the furniture industry.
The memorandum aims to train vocational education students and provide them with skills that correspond to the needs of the labor market, increase the reliability of vocational education graduates, build bridges of trust between the education sector and the business sector, and give the dual education system flexibility in application to achieve its objectives by qualifying the workforce, and securing additional resources from the business sector. And the possibility to provide quality work and commitment to it, and to provide a product for the local market at the lowest costs.
Minister of Education Dr. Darem Tabbaa stressed the importance of the memorandum because it is an example of cooperation between vocational education and the business sector, which contributes to implementing and expanding the educational policy of dual education and rehabilitating its frameworks, hoping that it will achieve the desired goals, so that we can graduate cadres to the labor market with the required practical qualification.
The Director of Vocational and Technical Education in the Ministry of Education, Eng. Fahmy Al-Akhal, explained that through the memorandum, a number of vocational education students will be trained in the furniture trade with Da Vinci Home Design Company, where theoretical sciences will be received in vocational schools, and practical exercises will be implemented within the company so that students who They were selected according to certain criteria to implement the company's business, providing them with job opportunities upon their graduation and during their studies and training.
In turn, the director of Da Vinci Home Company, Basil Al-Sheikh, explained the importance of the memorandum in terms of linking the information received by students in vocational schools to the labor market and preparing them at the time of completion of the study to enter the market well.
