(ANSA) - TOKYO, OCTOBER 03 - The Tokyo Stock Exchange starts the first session of the week with a minus sign, following the tracking of the US stock markets and while investors' fears of a global recession continue.
At the opening, the Nikkei benchmark index shows a contraction of 0.66% to 25,766.02, with a loss of 171 points.
On the foreign exchange market, the dollar appreciates on the payroll at 144.80, while the euro is stable against the Japanese currency at 141.70.
