Those are pesticides

The term includes numerous substances that are used as plant protection products.

Their aim is to ward off unwanted organisms such as weeds or harmful insects.

The BUND

writes that this should help to increase their agricultural yield

.

According to the MSD Manual

, symptoms of pesticide poisoning can include rapid

heartbeat

and shortness of

breath

.

The same properties of pesticides that make them deadly to insects can also be harmful to humans.

What is particularly dangerous is that some pesticides go unnoticed when ingested because they have no taste.

Many fruits and vegetables can be contaminated with pesticides.

Recall of frozen fruit: You can now do this with the affected cherries

Kaufland, the German distributor of sour cherries, reacted immediately.

In the manufacturer's statement, Kaufland writes that the cherries affected by the recall can be returned to all Kaufland branches.

This also works if you can no longer show the receipt.

In the branches, customers are reimbursed for the purchase price of the affected sour cherries.

Food recalls happen all the time.

Only recently, for example, there was a large sausage recall due to listeria.
