Depeche Mode announced their new tour in Berlin

At their press conference at the Berliner Ensemble on Tuesday afternoon, guitarist and keyboardist Martin Gore said: "We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time.

After Fletch's death we decided to go ahead as we're sure that's what he would have wanted and it really gave the project extra meaning." Singer Dave Gahan added at the press conference: "Fletch would have loved this album.

We're really looking forward to sharing it with you soon and we can't wait to present it live at the shows next year.” The previous “Global Spirit” tour 2017/2018 was the longest concert series of the Tape.

Depeche Mode played 130 shows in Europe and North America in front of more than three million fans.
