(ANSA) - MONTE SAN VITO, 04 OCT - The family of Sacha Baldo, a 29-year-old writer, resident in Monte San Vito (Ancona), arrested together with three others in Ahmedabad for having drawn deigraffiti on two subway carriages.
Family members do not want to make statements and have relied on the mayor Thomas Cillo to let people know that the embassy has provided "reassurance on the treatment reserved for children".
"A trial is underway - explains the mayor - of which the outcome is not known. If I understand, there are two disputed episodes and therefore there should be another trial later".
At the moment it does not appear that the family has appointed a lawyer in Italy, "because he is following the entire Italian embassy".
Sacha (this is his first name), is a resident of Monte San Vito, but "he hasn't lived here for at least 6-7 years - continues Cillo - and is not in contact with the writers who work in this area".
The family were "immediately notified by the embassy" of the 29-year-old's arrest.
